Mexican Supermarket Chain Builds High-Availability Security Network to Support Growth
Súper Akí operates one of the most recognized supermarket chains in southeast Mexico, with 53 stores and 10 additional operations facilities. Multiple IT modernization initiatives drove the need for increased network availability and security. At the same time, the IT team sought a more cost-effective and reliable alternative to the dedicated leased lines that connected their various locations.
Starting with FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls, Súper Akí has gradually built up an integrated and automated Fortinet Security Fabric spanning its entire retail footprint. The solution has slashed WAN connectivity costs, ensured PCI-compliant transactions, enabled secure in-store Wi-Fi, and delivered Voice over IP (VoIP) phone service enterprise wide.
“Having all Fortinet’s different technology components communicate with each other makes it easier for us to manage. Over time, integrating the solutions has allowed us to be agile, flexible, and better positioned regarding security and increased protection.”
