Overview
OutSystems, a global leader in low-code application development, faced inefficient security and complex management of its wide area network (WAN) and internal workloads, which hindered its growth and innovation. The company needed a secure networking solution that could help it reduce that burden and simplify ongoing administration.
It deployed FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) with integrated secure software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) to simplify WAN management and optimize traffic across its offices. OutSystems also migrated its internal workloads to the cloud seamlessly—leveraging the same firewall security rules. It further secured the workloads with the FortiWeb web application and API protection solution and deployed FortiAnalyzer for centralized logging and analytics. The result was improved resilience, visibility, and control over its on-premises and cloud environments, while reducing management complexity and costs.
