Dominican Republic Government Institution Empowers an Integrated and Secure Network with the Fortinet Security Fabric
Overview
Instituto Dominicano de Prevención y Protección de Riesgos Laborales, or IDOPPRIL, is the Dominican government agency responsible for administering and paying workers’ compensation insurance for nearly 2.3 million workers. The agency needed to comply with government policies on information management in public institutions, update its data security systems, and standardize its perimeter security solutions to increase visibility.
The agency has deployed a Fortinet Security Fabric solution comprising of FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), FortiSwitch Ethernet switches, a Fortinet Secure SD-WAN (software-defined wide area network) across 45 locations and FortiAnalyzer for network reporting and analytics. FortiManager centralized management enables remote management of the security infrastructure. The organization also uses FortiSIEM for security information and event management, and FortiAuthenticator to enforce identity-based access to the network for employee or user access. The Fortinet Security Fabric has enabled a highly cost-effective connectivity infrastructure that ensures strong data protection for the agency while providing seamless, uninterrupted service delivery.
